This book is included really for the sake of completeness. Written in the aftermath of Sir William Fraser's "Chiefs of Grant" and at a time when Gaelic scholarship was at a relatively low ebb it contains many quite fundamental mistakes - so the reader is urged not to place reliance on any of either the history or the gaelic translations which are of long standing.
For convenience I have split this book into three sections - which should allow the reader not to get sidetracked by material not germaine to the interest of the time. Use the links below to access the sections. As usual footnotes are incorporated into the text in blue, page numbers are indicated in red. the original page images are included for this book.
