"The Chiefs of Grant" (1883) by Sir William Fraser
Volume I, Family Trees

Editorial introduction

Fraser's Family Trees

The first appendix in this vast work is a large set of family trees. To see them in their native form visit
https://archive.org/details/chiefsofgrant11fras/page/n5/mode/2up
where they start on page 499 (through to page 545). It is not possible to reproduce these pages in text or html format simply and usefully.

Many of the individuals represented on the tree have mini-bioiographies attached and often they are not mentioned elsewhere in the text. So I have reproduced all the text here in the ensuing pages (so choose from the table below or choose “next section” etc.) – but the way they are listed does not help the reader to see the relationships between the individuals.

So I have also converted the whole tree into GEDCOM format. Go to the Family Trees section of this site to see the current state of play, because there are amendments to be made as a result of subsequent research and the correction of the ‘fake history’ elements.
