Rulers of Strathspey

Transcription notes: Footnotes incorporated into the text in blue; Original page numbers start their page in red; "Yyy" is inserted for male first names omitted in the text; The bold centred titles making Cassillis' version of chapter headings are rendered in Green..
There is no real structure to the original work, but I have divided the main body of the text into six sections. Cassillis has 6 Appendices (some very short), which I have collapsed into two files. There is no index, but this is rendered largely irrelevant in so short a work once digitised.
The illustrations in this book are distributed somewhat haphazardly and do not add greatly to the text. Nevertheless this position in the text is indicated. In my opinion they are best viewed as a slideshow. They are in their own folder (called "Graphics") within the book's own folder "08_RS"
Earl Cassillis published "The Rulers of Strathspey" in 1911. It was intended as a very abridged version of Fraser's "Chiefs of Grant", but he was also able to bring the family pedigrees up to date by some 30 years.
